Here at Hemingway Design we save the word - oh yes we do.
As well as being of the generally thrifty kind we undertake projects where sustainability is at the forefront of our design.
One of our most recent projects - we have partnered with McDonalds and upcycling company, Worn Again, to design the uniform for its 85,000 employees in time for the 2012 Olympics. The aim is to help Mc Donalds achieve the title of first UK company to commit to 'closed loop' recycled uniform.
Whether its a relook at the humble waterbutt or leading a promotional campaign with Sainsbury's launching a nationwide campaign to address dwindling cod stocks by encouraging the British public to try pollack, a tasty, cheaper and more sustainable alternative.'encourage the sale and consumption of Pollack.
Wayne has had a long term link up with the textile recycling charity Traid.
He instigated the highly successful link whereby, second hand clothing is hand picked, cleaned and sold in a dedicated section of Topman at Oxford Circus, London... Cool second hand clothes in a multiple High Street store and money going to Third World Development... a first!
