Last year, a new initiative was born between Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Culture Liverpool and HemingwayDesign, to build a festival that could act as a global summit for the hugely powerful movement towards good business; The Good Business Festival.
In 2020, as the world reacts to Covid-19, our collective understanding of how the relationship between business, government and society can (or should) work is evolving every day. Now more than ever the future is unpredictable, but one thing is certain: business purpose is under the spotlight.
ACT 1: 8TH OCTOBER 2020
A one day happening to focus on Covid-19 response and recovery, designed to galvanise our ambitions as the good business community emerges from the crisis.
Can we go back to business as usual after the crisis or is this an opportunity to reset and emerge into a new purposeful world order?
ACT 2: 2-4TH MARCH 2021
A multi-day, multi-venue takeover of Liverpool City Region.
One year on from lockdown, having had time to process and reset, we will bring together smartest minds from around the world for compelling, thought-provoking and unexpected programming designed to drive positive change in a post-covid-19 world.
This isn’t a conference. It’s a multi-day, multi-venue, colourful, imaginative and disruptive shiny new festival with big-hitting topics at its core. The Good Business Festival is about connecting business to the wider world, and with a packed programme of fringe and social events too, we’ll have a great time while we’re at it.
As part of our commitment to being a new home for the good business community, we have launched The Good Business Journal; a global destination for insight and thought leadership in business, designed to tell unexpected stories, showcase creative business minds, and spark inspiration. Issue 1 features a selection of writers sharing their thoughts on recent events, and The Snapshot, where we ask business leaders including James Timpson and Sir Tim Smit their thoughts on the impact of the coronavirus so far.
